Stand up for what you believe in, even if it goes against the current status quo.

“If you’re going to do something for one country, why not do it for yours?” Shane Guidry, CEO of rig towing company Harvey Gulf International Marine.

I am so blown away by this question, I can’t even tell you. I’m surprised, actually, that it has not been so blatantly asked before.

Why does Obama dish out money that we don’t have to help other nations, when we are in need of some change and help here in America right now?

If you guys haven’t heard, Obama will be helping Brazil expand their offshore drilling. I’m not sure if a dollar amount has been decided yet, but that’s really insignificant.

How come our president will fund drilling in another country when we should be using that money to help ourselves, help our economy? The money that we just don’t have, I might add. Gas prices all over the country are nearing $4! I don’t know about you guys, but I think that we need to be focusing our resources on perhaps drilling here, and begin lowering the prices of gas. Not to mention, start pulling away from foreign resources. Once we can start exporting more than we import, we can start making money again! And start lowering our deficit.

Just my thoughts. It’s a little hard to wrap my brain around the idea that the President wants to throw our money to foreign countries when we could be using it to provide resources to American citizens. It seems like a blatant act to show us just how much he doesn’t care what happens to America. Just sayin’…
